Amanda earned her degree in political science from Vanderbilt University. She grew up in Houston, Texas.
In her spare time, Amanda manages a family of boys and enjoys long distance running. She's also an elder in her church, Faith Presbyterian Church of Tallahassee, and a former Ambassador Family and Fund the Mission Chair for March of Dimes of the Big Bend.
Media Relations Strategist
Erin Gillespie is the media relations strategist at Red Hills Strategies. She has almost two decades of experience in media and communications, public speaking, crisis management and government affairs. Erin has given hundreds of media interviews, including many during natural disasters, crisis situations and other emergencies.
Erin’s extensive public service includes senior level positions in communications at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
She is also an adjunct professor for the Florida State University’s Center for Public Management at the Reubin Askew School of Public Administration and Policy.
Before her time in public service, Erin was a newspaper reporter in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn University. She and her husband, Patrick, have two adorable daughters and live in Tallahassee.
Julie is the project manager at Red Hills Strategies, overseeing project management, event planning and client reporting. She brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience in event planning and grassroots outreach.
In the last few years, Julie spent most of her time traveling across the state of Florida, organizing and executing events for Adam Putnam for Governor, Florida Grown Political Committee and the Florida Hospital Association. She has developed comprehensive marketing campaigns for private companies interested in expanding their business by reaching new audiences.
Julie earned her degree in marketing from the University of Florida and is a member of Florida Blue Key. A native of Lakeland, she is also an aspiring “gourmand” who enjoys cheering on the Florida Gators, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
